Masque 4 All, Tank the Economy, Impose Financial Burden, Qui Bono? (Videos)

Greetings, Peace and Blessings to you, your family and loved ones.  My name is Nana Baakan and I have a lot of questions about what is happening in our world today.

I am going to upload a few videos over the next few weeks. I just want to share with you some of my questions and get your responses.  These videos are simply opinion pieces, I make no claims of being a scientist or having any inside info.  Please take that for what it's worth, I just have a lot of questions.

Thanks to all my subscribers who stopped by and to new visitors be sure to subscribe.

The topic of Today's video is "Masque 4 All, Tank the Economy, Impose Financial Burden, Qui Bono?"

I travel a lot in my dreams. I meet people from all walks of life and have real life conversations with them. Sometimes, I am them, in that I experience what they are going through. My dream world and waking world converge very often. I find myself discussing in my dreams what I have experienced in waking life and discussing in waking life, what I have experienced in my dreams. Lately, I have been dreaming of folks wearing masks. I would want to turn away from those visions as I am so uncomfortable with the whole idea as I struggle with the doublespeak around it. But it seems masks and people wearing them have seeped into my dream world more and more.

During a time when masks were not the dominate theme in my waking world, masks would have a different interpretation. However, something intrinsically is changing, and I am not too sure if the figurative meaning of seeing masks individuals in dreams has changed or that there is a combined figurative and literal meaning now, because masks are being worn all over the place.

I just can't with this mask thing? I just can't.... and you know for a while there, I didn't even understand what "I just can't" even meant, but I certainly do now. So let me take a moment and make a plug for my latest video, "Thesis-Antithesis, Goddess Corona's Mask-Charade and the New Abnormal".  https://youtu.be/PdOXbMhP9RM

One of the things that I do not and cannot understand is the fact that they have basically allowed folks to participate in the worse mask wearing protocols of all times. Doctors, Nurses and other medical professionals know the truth and they are silent or barely audible when it comes to alerting folks of the proper use of these masks in the first place. These folks are taking them on and off, putting them on to enter a restaurant and taking them off to eat or talk. Got them hanging from their ears, reporters some have them on others not. The same with the protesters, and yet they want to mandate employees to wear them while working from home and using Zoom. It makes no sense and yet folks are being accosted because of having a mask on or not having a mask on. And then you have the Surgeon General telling folks they can use a T-Shirt, and other folks are making mask out of cloth that are totally ineffective for blocking viruses that are so tiny.

They are encouraging folks to wear masks like some kind of badge of honor but they are basically useless and more of a FASHION STATEMENT and a BRAND OF SLAVERY than anything else. They are improperly used, improperly handled and improperly disposed of, and the cloth/reusable ones are of no benefit except to make it harder for you to breathe. What I think is criminal is that folks who are supposed to know better are not telling us this, they are simply going along with the charade. Got us all masked and it ain't even Halloween, SMDH…

Masque for All, Tank the Economy, Impose Financial Burden, Qui Bono?

In this dream something about this mask mandate came to me that I had not thought of. Interestingly enough with all my rebellion against the mask mandate I had not thought of this one.

I decide to take a bus ride on SEPTA’s G bus in Philadelphia, PA. I wanted to take this bus because it is one of the longest routes in Philadelphia going from South Philly to the Mainline. As you travel this route you actually see the communities as they change from lower to middle to upper class. The shops, stores, houses, schools, roads, streets and people change dramatically along this route. Of course having traveled this route several times while living in Philadelphia, I already knew what to expect. What surprised me was the conversation I had with two young African American women on the bus and after we departed the bus.

One young woman was a health worker, more of a medical assistant, barely making minimum wage, and the other was currently unemployed. Since the outbreak, her job was terminated, with no hope of returning.

We talked about what it meant to both of them. And what was interesting was that they both lived in the same apartment building.

The health worker said, “You know, I am a little better off than a lot of people, especially those folks who don’t have jobs, or were laid off indefinitely. They don’t know when or if they will ever go back to work.”

I respond, “Yeah, I know that has got to be hard on folks these days.”

She says, “Yes, it is, and then they want folks who can barely feed their families to buy masks. They have to choose between eating or buying a mask.”

The other lady who was with us was quiet. Her N95 mask was absolutely filthy. I could only imagine how long she had it. And it hit me hard because that part of this scenario hadn’t occurred to me, that there are actually people who cannot afford to buy a mask, no matter how fancy, cheap, or high grade they may be. Folks are juggling between rent, phone, gas, electric, car insurance, transportation, etc. and the fear of catching a virus they cannot afford to purchase the proper mask for.

As we walked along the street, I noticed a street sign that said “O Street” and I wondered if I might have gone too far on the bus, and may have ended up in far NorthEast Philly somehow. Also, along this walk to their apartment building, I saw masks on the ground, some torn, missing the earloop, others dirty and misshaped, even an N95 mask was discarded right there on the ground. The unemployed lady said not a word, she just quietly walked along side us.

As they entered the building, the health worker said, “I really feel for those folks who cannot even afford to buy the masks they need for themselves and for their families. I can barely do it myself, but I am lucky to work in a place that gives them to us. I think that the government should give people the masks they say we should wear. Like they are giving folks money, the masks should be free, and everywhere. I mean the real masks that protect us, not the cheap ones. That way people without jobs or have a little bit of money coming in, won’t have to worry even more about catching this virus. People don’t all have money to buy masks and other people can’t even sew their own masks.”

It struck me so hard, like they say, a ton of bricks. Even those of us who can afford to purchase the correct type of masks, follow the correct protocols and have a stash of masks are of a privileged class because there are folks who cannot even afford to feed their families much less purchase masks in any sizable quantity over a period of time. Then I thought, “THEY” really DON’T care about us, AT ALL!! I could hear Michael Jackson’s song playing in my mind.

We said our goodbyes and I walked further along and came upon 3 European Women. It was a chilly day and they were dressed in light coats and shawls, none of them were wearing masks. One woman was carrying a small child in her arms. I overheard one say to the other.

“If they ask me about my mask, I will take this shawl and cover my face, and say, “See, I have a face covering, now leave me alone.”

The other two ladies chimed in agreement. And again, I realized that even with this mask thing, there are those who are privileged and those who are not, those who are able to move through this virus thing, with a cavalier attitude and those who are struck with fear and can barely do anything about it. Those who can feed their families and those who cannot, who depended on the now closed schools and summer camps, to give their children a free breakfast and lunch.

Along with so many other inequities that permeate this society, even this plandemic is bringing to the fore, just how much disparity reigns between the have’s and the havenot’s in this so called land of the free and home of the brave.
